A Little About Jaylin

My dance journey began at the age of six after watching the movie Breakin' and learning how to pop, wave, and glide from my father. However, it wasn't until I relocated to Tennessee at twelve that I truly began to pursue dance with fervor, developing a profound love for hip hop freestyle and choreography. This passion led me to a professional dance career, where I've had the honor of performing alongside renowned artists such as Dolly Parton, Galantis, and Tyler Hubbard, as well as for major brands like Chevrolet and Space Jam: A New Legacy.

In 2020, my ambition took me to California, where I continued to make waves in the dance scene. I've shared stages with the likes of Amine, Wayne Brady, and Scorey, and collaborated with brands such as Dollar General and Rip N Dip. My prowess in freestyle battles earned me wins and finalist spots in some of the nation's most competitive dance battles. This streak of excellence caught the attention of So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD), where my unique talent and dedication shone brightly, propelling me into the top 6—a testament to my outstanding abilities and a highlight of my burgeoning career.

Beyond the stage and competitions, I have also nurtured a passion for teaching and choreography. I have imparted my knowledge and skills at prestigious institutions and studios, including Millennium Dance Complex (Nashville), Eighty Eight Studios (LA), The Room (LA), and universities like Loyola Marymount and USC in Los Angeles. My goal is not only captivate audiences with dynamic performances but also inspire the next generation of dancers through my dedication to teaching and choreography, marking me as a multifaceted talent in the dance world.
